13 APRIL 2017

Sweden-based product developer Magnus Ahlstrom takes the reins as Invetech’s Business Development Manager for Diagnostics and Connected Health Europe.

Invetech is pleased to announce that Magnus Ahlstrom has been appointed to the role of Business Development Manager, Diagnostics and Connected Health, Europe.

Magnus began working at Invetech as an industrial designer and project manager in the Melbourne, Australia office, where he led the development of projects in the consumer-healthcare space, working with clients including Philips, Procter & Gamble and Baxter Healthcare. He recently relocated to his native Sweden where he had core responsibility for maintaining and growing key accounts and managing projects operated throughout Europe.

“The diagnostics and broader healthcare markets in Europe are very dynamic and positioned to continue to grow and evolve rapidly,” said Magnus. “The reasons are multitude, including an aging population and expanded access to healthcare in many high-growth markets. There’s also the technology evolution which includes data availability, sensing technologies and the growth of the Internet of Things (IoT). When combined with a substantial investment commitment in Europe to advance point of care testing and new modalities in laboratory diagnostics, it’s energizing to be involved in such a dynamic market.”

Prior to joining Invetech, Magnus held roles at product design consultancies in Australia and Sweden, and marketing roles for a major fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company in Switzerland. Magnus’s diverse background in broad cross-disciplinary capabilities, particularly in translating insights and Voice of Customer (VOC) research into tangible product outcomes, has resulted in the development of more useable and commercially marketable products.

Magnus holds degrees in Economics and Business from HEC Lausanne in Switzerland, and in Industrial Design from the Konstfack University in Stockholm.
