Receiving Recognition for Our Collaboration

Invetech and our client Janssen Research & Development have been shortlisted for the 2014 BioProcess International Award, Best Collaboration category, for our work in developing a therapeutic for the treatment of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD).

The 2014 BioProcess International Awards celebrate and recognize outstanding people, organizations and technologies that have significantly changed, impacted, and advanced the efficiency of biotherapeutic development and manufacturing processes, ultimately delivering more effective treatments to a global patient base.

The team at Invetech has collaborated with researchers at Janssen Research & Development on the design, development, testing and commissioning of production equipment and disposable processing sets for CNTO 2476, an investigational cell therapy currently being studied for the treatment of visual acuity impairment associated with AMD. Invetech has provided the engineering design for the technology, automation and disposables equipment whilst the Janssen R&D team has provided the process knowledge, process development testing, and performed product testing.

The awards reception, dinner, and ceremony honoring all finalists, during which winners will be announced, is scheduled for the BioProcess International Conference & Exhibition event at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston on October 22, 2014.
